As our Architect you will be the bridge between complex data engineering and executivelevel insights ensuring our Fabric ecosystem is performant secure and scalable
Key Responsibilities
Legacy BI Deconstruction Lead the strategic migration of reports universes Business Objects and dossiers Microstrategy to Power BI semantic models You will decide when to lift and shift versus when to refactor and rethink
Fabric Ecosystem Leadership Architect and implement endtoend solutions within Microsoft Fabric leveraging OneLake Lakehouses and Warehouses
Optimization Master Ensure peak performance by utilizing Direct Lake mode You must be an expert in VOrder compression Delta Lake optimization and DAX efficiency to ensure reports render in seconds regardless of scale
Advanced Semantic Modeling Design complex highperformance Star Schemas and composite models You should be an expert in managing Big Data within Power BI without sacrificing UI responsiveness
Performance Tuning Conduct deepdive optimizations using tools like DAX Studio VertiPaq Analyzer and Tabular Editor 3 Youll be responsible for reducing refresh times and improving query speeds
Tenant Administration Governance Oversee Power BI Service administration including capacity management FSKUsPSKUs workspace security deployment pipelines and gateway configurations
Direct Lake Connectivity Implement and optimize Direct Lake mode to provide realtime insights without the overhead of traditional Import or DirectQuery latencies
Standards Best Practices Establish enterprisewide COE Center of Excellence standards for DAX patterns UIUX design and CICD integration with Git
Technical Requirements
Core Expertise 7 years of experience in Business Intelligence with at least 4 years focused exclusively on the Power BI stack
Microsoft Fabric Proven experience working with Fabric components Data Factory Synapse Data Engineering and Data Warehouse A deep understanding of the OneCopy philosophy is essential
Masterful DAX Power Query Ability to write sophisticated performant DAX and optimize Mcode for upstream folding
Administration Strong grasp of the Power BI Admin Portal Tenant settings and Microsoft Entra ID formerly Azure AD security integration deployment pipelines and APIbased automation
Optimization Deep understanding of the VertiPaq engine data compression techniques and partitioning strategies
Migration Pedigree Proven experience migrating enterprisescale environments from Tableau Microstrategy or SAP Business Objects to the Power BIFabric stack
Data Engineering Knowledge Strong proficiency in SQLTSQL and experience with PySparkNotebooks for data transformation within Fabric
